Mindfulness Meditation

Meditation is a practice, much like yoga. You are training your mind, your body and your whole being to be present. To sit with yourself and observe. It seems like such a daunting task, which is why UP is offering a weekly meditation practice, led by an experienced instructor. We are excited to welcome Come As You Are Meditation led by Jack Blackfelt to the UP community. Jack Blackfelt facilitates mild mindful movement before a silent meditation period, followed by open and optional discussion.  Every aspect of everyone's and anyone's experience, whether it is challenging or celebratory, is not only accepted and valid in this group - it is understood as important to one's individual innate wisdom.  There is no dogma, no one right view here. There IS what YOU bring. All traditions or the lack thereof are welcome in these sessions. Because we believe meditation should be accessible to all, Come As You Are is a donation based group.
