Description of a Private or Group Yoga Therapy Session:

My yoga therapy practice utilizes the breath to connect the body, mind, and your best self. Yoga therapy, grounded in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT), is first and foremost a client-centered process. Yoga therapy incorporates the six phases of PRYT and is infused with Richard Miller’s core principles and ten tools of iRest Yoga Nidra. Yoga Therapy is focused on what is happening in the body in the present moment.   You will experience your edge in different yoga postures as you notice sensations in the body. By practicing self-acceptance and taking a nonjudgmental stance, powerful healing and transformation happens.

Description of Mental Health and Yoga Workshops:

Yoga workshops are experiential and include the Chakras (energy centers of the body), the Yamas and Niyamas, the power of the breath and the attitudinal pillars of mindfulness.   Mental Health workshops are trauma-focused and include complex trauma, child grief/bereavement, intergenerational trauma and community trauma.
