Join Monya Cohen, Psychologist, and Yoga Therapist, in this 8-week virtual group yoga therapy practice based on the Yoga of Michael Lee, Founder of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Using techniques such as gentle movement (asana), breathing (pranayama), meditation, skills training in relaxation, sharing within the group, some homework, and a one-day silent retreat you’ll be guided in a journey through personal transformation and growth. The body is our vehicle of change on this yoga journey of transformation. Our bodies hold stress and untapped emotions from years of living. Yoga therapy takes us out of our headspace and into our bodies, bringing our awareness to sensations, feelings, images, and emotions in the body. Our yoga therapy practice will guide us through awareness, acceptance, choice, discernment, and truth — leading to insight and understanding of ourselves on and off the yoga mat.
